LPL Help
Help with your teaching workspace.
Public guidance for controlled pre-beta. Preview features use fictional data; live integrations and final acceptance are still in progress.
Accounts and teacher workspaces
LPL is in controlled pre-beta. Access comes through the approved invitation process; public registration is not open.
One account may participate in more than one teacher workspace. Choose the correct workspace before opening lessons, messages or files. Each teacher relationship keeps its own records.
Children under 13 do not receive a login. Their guardian uses LPL for them. Teen family conversations retain guardian visibility; parent-and-teacher conversations are separate from the student's view.
Lessons and continuity
Your workspace shows the next lesson and the approved context from earlier lessons. Open the lesson to find its join controls when they are available. If the teacher has provided a fallback link, it appears with the lesson.
Teachers can document lessons manually. Transcription and AI are optional; you do not need them to keep teaching, scheduling or sharing a reviewed lesson record.
A checkout hold is temporary. Check the booking's status before assuming it is confirmed or paid. The teacher receives lesson payments, and LPL takes no lesson commission. Ask your teacher about their payment and cancellation policy.
Messages and notifications
Open Messages for the relevant student. Family messages belong to that teaching relationship. Parent-and-teacher messages are visible only to the teacher and authorized guardian.
Use the search field to find text, a sender or an attached filename in that conversation. Search stays in your browser and does not search other teacher workspaces or private teacher notes.
Where enabled, Mark as read clears your own unread marker. It does not show another person whether you have read their message. Your in-app notification preference is separate: turning it off keeps messages available and does not mark them read.
Shared files and expiry
A shared file becomes downloadable after its checks finish. A message may reference a file already shared with that student and their guardians. Adding that reference does not extend the file's lifetime.
Shared files expire after 30 days. Download an available file before its displayed expiry if you need your own copy. The app warns when expiry is approaching; afterward, a historical filename may remain, but its download is unavailable.
If a file is still being checked, reload later. If it has expired or your access has changed, ask the teacher about the next step. A saved download link does not override current access or expiry.
Privacy and optional processing
Processing requires both the teacher's setting and current affirmative permission from the authorized adult student or guardian. A teen cannot independently grant that permission. Declining leaves manual teaching available.
Generated material is not shared with the family until the teacher reviews it. Private teacher notes stay separate. Transcripts default to 30 days; the authorized adult or guardian can choose Keep or Delete. Deleting a transcript includes the teacher's copy and does not delete already-approved lesson summaries.
The local fictional preview uses generated silent audio and fixed example text, with no microphone or real speech service. Automatic lesson-analysis drafts and real provider quality remain unfinished. A test-screening label is not a real background check.
Browser use and troubleshooting
LPL works in the browser. If your browser offers installation, you may use that option; installation is not required.
If a save is interrupted, reload and check whether it succeeded before repeating it. A calendar or notification failure does not by itself cancel a confirmed LPL lesson. Check the status shown in the workspace and coordinate lesson-specific questions with your teacher.
During pre-beta testing, use fictional information. For a problem report, describe the page, your account's role and the action that failed. Do not include private lesson text, passwords or sign-in links.
Install the app
Installation is optional. All lesson features remain available in your browser.
If your browser offers Install or Add to Home Screen in its menu, you can use that option.
On iPhone or iPad, open the site in Safari, use Share, then Add to Home Screen. If offered, turn on Open as Web App. On Mac, Safari offers File → Add to Dock.
Installation does not download your private lesson content for offline use. Sign-in and workspace permissions stay the same.
